In C.A.D we were shown how to animate the Channel 4 ident. It was straight forward. I've not got the animated version as my computer didn't recognise the format it was saved in so just these screen shots. We also did this trippy animation. Again I haven't got the original animated version but heres the screen shots It was so easy to do and looks sweet.I practiced it again when I got home so heres a short clip. 90 frames. For the Ch4 logo. Go to panel, view3, options , config, click back and load image. Select the isometric square icon & go to extrude and drop a spline into it. Extrude, object, current state of object. click the two red dots twice on the extrude. Create a new material and make it white. next texture on cap 2. Extrude selected, go to current state of object. Delete old extrude, click the + symbol next to the triangle ( next to the new extrude, it makes 2 caps appear. Now move the new material to the extrude then go to projection and select frontal. Floor, background, new material. render as 1920 1080, current frame to all. not tif, quick time and save to desk top. For the trippy disco cone, first create a cone and rotate so that the camera is facing the bottom. make it editable. press the isometric square and use the selection tool to highlight and delete all the faces from the bottom of the cone. Go to reflection and set reflection legacy tag. select. new material. Go to compositing tag and turn off 'seen by camera'.
