I put layer paper over the drawing of the room so I could work out roughly where the couples will be positioned. Once I was happy with the positioning I used Photoshop to resize them, print them off and using a light box put them under the room drawing to see if they needed further adjusting. Took a few goes.
Once I was happy with the sizes I traced over the prints the entwined lizards were flipped and once traced over I wasn't happy with the size so resized them again in Photoshop, print, align with the room then trace over. At this stage the feet on two of the couples hadn't been done though drawing them this time was easy? Think maybe the trouble with the first lizards feet was cause I was adamant the toes should be curling back.. Also since doing the wall paper I'd been curious to see how it would look as a negative so Photoshop, image and inverse Looks cool. Ill probs go with this so gonna have a little practice tracing over a negative version of the wall paper. Anyhew once all the couples were traced up I placed the under the drawing of the room using the layer paper as reference, and traced over them, unfortunately this has been done too lightly for the camera to pick up but now the room and the lizards are on the same sheet so though I'm itching to ink it! I'm gonna add further detail whilst trying to be careful not to clutter it. Complimentary assets, I'm thinking creepy African ornaments on the mantelpiece or candles but not sure how the light will effect the wall paper. Maybe a clock. Defo a vase, A black Ghibli-esc cat lying on the windowsill and an incense burner on the table and I reckon the frog like dude wearing a crown. Maybe
