Using the crowns on my mood board I've been seeing how the frog would look with a crown Trying out blinging them up with jewellery, bracelets, toe rings, necklaces and anklets. I've also been looking up reference imagery for further assets. I like this one but its probably too bulky to be squashed in beside the fireplace and behind the lizards feet. I like the pattern on this one. I'm thinking two identical fiendish ornaments either side of the mantle piece to add to the eerie feel. I like how the smoke is coming out on that last one. A black Ghibli-esc cat to make it more mystical, probably with its paw draping off the windowsill. This will also further tie the narrative or at least opens it up to further interpretation. And different styles of wall paper.. So now I'll design these assets then draw them onto layer paper to get the dimensions and perspective right, then they'll be traced into the room. Then the ink. After I've decided if/where any incense smoke will be. Then the lizards will be drawn in, then the wall paper as this will give me a better idea of how to balance the rest of the picture. I'm thinking a full moon maybe too, top left behind the cat? I've not decided whats going to be on the pictures yet, I think this should become more obvious to me as the piece starts to shape up.
